S.Hali is an Industry professional with over 36 years of experience with a Maha Ratna Public-Sector Major, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.
His areas of expertise include Sales & Marketing of Power producing equipment, Project Management, Spares & Services, Management & Renovation of large Power Sector projects in both Domestic & International sectors.
He superannuated from BHEL as General Manager (Engineering and Commercial Coordination) in December - 2015.
His training acumen was heightened when he served as Faculty of in-house training programs at BHEL, as President of Hardwar Management Association and then as Secretary, BHEL Education Management Board (EMB) 2007 -2011. During his tenure he administered 7 schools (5 Higher secondary schools and 2 Primary schools) under the management of BHEL, catering to the educational upliftment of students from economically weaker sections of the society. He was also a member of Academic Review Committee of Anushruti,IIT-Roorkee.
Mona Verma is an an alumnus of Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and post graduation certification holder from Harvard Business School. She is an award-winning author of 9 books and over a dozen anthologies. The Haiku & Tanka poet has also edited various science journals, self-help books, and biographies.
Mona Verma is an award winning author of 16 works of fiction, A Bridge to Nowhere, God is a River, The White Shadow, The Clown of Whitefields & other stories, The Other , Lost & Found in Banaras, You v/s Yours, Laughter Lines, Readomania Book of Indian Mythology, The Readomania Book of Folk Tales, Better Parenting, Book of Historical Fiction and Remnants of Loss..
Her articles have been featured in The Dogtrine of Peace and Ruminations- Essays & Dialogues on Indian Culture .
Her books have been subject of thesis, for many Research Scholars and excerpts from her book have been used in ICSE ELT series.
She is on board of various Universities as an advisory expert and is much sought as visiting faculty for Creative writing, Haiku and Limericks.
She is a regular invitee to Writers’ meet called for by Governor of Uttarakhand, at Rajbhawan Dehradun.
A Paul Harris fellow, she actively volunteers with Interplast, Germany and Rotary International foundation for the treatment of surgical accidents and burns victims.
She has served as an executive member in the Management Committee of Anushruti, a social initiative of IIT, Roorkee for the exemplary work done for the special children at Anushruti. She is also serving as a member of the Academic Review Committee with Anushruti, IIT Roorkee.
She has chaired the Outreach Committee with Kumaon Literary Festival planning board. She has been offered to organize and curate a Literature Festivals and is a regular speaker at CBL panels, across the country.
She is serving as the Chief Coordinator for FLO FICCI, Uttarakhand Literature Committee for second consecutive year.
She has also done voiceovers for various Documentaries, Radio Podcasts and Online series.
She has been featured in ‘Incredible Women of India’ talk shows.
